Foradori - Manzoni Bianco 2014 (Photo Simon Woolf)For those who are interested, here’s the full list of wines that Andrew Jefford, Sarah Jane Evans MW and myself tasted blind, for the Decanter natural wine tasting 2017.

      tnx. an ecclectic selection.

      Thanks–seems pretty random geographically.

Two from US is a bit token–no? Curious why them?

      • Most wines were contributed by UK importers, Decanter likes to have good UK availability on what they publish.

US natural wines are still rare this side of the pond. I’m glad we had two, and not none.

          I agree and we’ll reasoned.

Honestly though a really strange pub publishing your piece alongside others like the wine lists that Trump has at his dinners.

          Stranger than fiction.

          • Arnold that was on Decanter.com – this was in the magazine. Two different things.

News brands are news brands and they have the same audience and editorial policies online and off. True for NY Times, WSJ and Decanteur as well. That’s the publishing biz.

I don’t really care honestly and always looking to challenge my views.

I like your point of view and writing as you know and it was you who drove me to understand who the audience is for Decanteur as you write for them and I was curious as I don’t read it online or off. Nor does my NY market.

So I read around. Was an eyeful.

That’s their audience. They are lucky to have you.

              All good.

Doing the same for the others, especially Palate as I’m completely clueless as to who they are writing for as well.

And also am starting to really understanding the difference between the US and European markets even for the same wine categories.

Journalism and education, and being a critic are really different things on opposite sides of the pond.

              Keep writing my friend.

Very happy to see that Elisabetta Foradori, for some years my favourite female Italian wine producer, made the grade.
