Marcio Lopes – Permitido 2017

by Simon J Woolf

Simon J Woolf 02/02/2021

Marcio Lopes - Permitido 2017
Producer: Marcio Lopes
Wine name: Permitido
year: 2017
variety: Rabigato
country: Portugal
region: Douro
style: White
ABV: 13.0
event:

Starting to show some development, with oxidative, almost whisky-like notes. The bright green melon and citrus fruit feels like it’s taking a back seat or being thrown off balance. It’s brutally dry on the finish. The acidity is spine tingling though, and some will enjoy this.
