It’s wonderful when Rkatsiteli is allowed to show its more floral, aromatic side, and that’s what we get here, with jasmine flowers, tangerine and raisin.
A super expressive style, with ripe fruit that verges on the raisined side, but just pulls itself back. The racy acids are partly to thank, as are the ripe but delicate tannins which add freshness and don’t take over the party.
A really typical qvevri Rkatsiteli.
Ocho is a new line of wines produced by the DoReMi team, with input from their children. In general, I’d say the Ocho wines are for slightly earlier drinking than their DoReMi equivalents.
