Oda wine is the project of Keto Ninidze, wife of Zaza Gugua (M’Artville). She’s been busy for the last few years planting rare and forgotten varieties that are native to her adoped region of Samegrelo.
Ojaleshi is perhaps Samegrelo’s best known red variety, always light bodied and with high acidity.
This example is very bright and lively, with tight redcurrant fruit. Attractive on the attack, quite lean but gets away with it. However beware, this isn’t exactly stable. After one hour it starts to go mousy.
