Slightly toasty nose, leading to very expressive and ripe fresh apricot and quince. Great structure and harmony, this is a big character but with elegance and poise. The finish is long and saline, staying fresh right to the end.
Super spicy, honeyed apple fruit, with incredible concentration yet finesse – the result is electric acidity and concentration, with lime, angelica root and salty, schisty minerals freshening up the palate. Very fine indeed.
A very focused, if almost mono-thematic reading of this wonderful vineyard, with pear fruit and some lees character. The restrained ripeness level is appreciated, but there is a hint of bitterness on the finish which is distracting.
They’ve done it again! So fresh and lively, the subtle capsicum and quince fruit is bedded in with truly electric acidity and silky smooth finish that just glides on and on, with hints of candied peel and butter. Such elegance and lightness of touch here, with the saline, mineral qualities really driving the wine.
Tangy, spicy citrus fruit, quite broad shouldered but with a nice wet stone finish which keeps freshness to the fore. The finish is a bit short, and overall this is youthful and easy going, but well done.
Delicate and nuanced, with a fine seam of acidity dancing across the palate, and a lovely saline thread shoring it up. Finely hewn notes of lime and lemon – ethereal and like an essential oil. Elegance personified.
