Green pepper and orchard fruits on the nose, bone dry on the attack, but then opens out to a surprisingly juicy, generous finish. Mineral and stony, given time to plump out a little, this could be sensational.
An exciting, unusual expression of Grüner Veltliner – kumquat, mango, racy acidity, almost buttery, but completely avoids being overbearing or fat. Still quite closed on the nose, but with attractive orchard fruits, refreshing acids and restrained texture. Green apple, some leesy notes with a hint of honeycomb. Dry and focused, with lots of potential to age and open out. Refined on the finish. Selected yeasts (from the Kamptal region), fermentation in large acacia wood barrels.
