Not the most expressive in terms of fruit, but there is a pretty herbal mid-palate and longish finish. Bone dry, and certainly with potential to improve. Very fine seam of citrus fruit, which keeps the wine alive, but lacks the tension of some of the best examples.
Really bone dry, stony riesling with taut, almost sour acids and the barest hint of some tropical fruits. Starts to open a little with air, and finishes quite long. This feels like it really needs time, but could improve and flesh out nicely.
Quite austere right now, but with a seam of creamy-texture rounding out the initial hard attack. Angelica and herby notes on the nose, citrus peel. Lovely minerality and bone dry on the refined finish. Just starting to show its potentil and definitely one to age for years and years.
A big slab of slatey minerality, spicy and zesty. Belies its modest 12.5% ABV. Waxy, honeycomb notes. Lovely tangy expression which already feels very open and expressive. Athletic and lithe, just like the winery’s namesake animal. Spontaneous fermentation without temperature control (in steel tanks and large oak barrels).
